Project 39 is an organization focused on helping mothers in need. The group was formed in 2010 when a group of women nearing their 40th birthdays came together to find a way to make a difference in the community. The group found a shared gratitude both for the joy of motherhood and the gift and support of friendships. As the group formalized their mission, they decided to focus on mothers who were in need of both basic essentials as well as programs or education to help break the cycle of poverty. Currently, the largest activity organized by Project 39 is The Mother of All Happy Hours event. This event collects donations of goods
and money annually that supports programs for The Family
Conservancy. The flagship program, is the Mother's Market where
mothers are able to "purchase" items in the store for their children
by attending educational sessions.
